A piece of HTML an AI assistant made for you, like a Claude artifact or a ChatGPT canvas. You can publish it as a website.
See also Static website
A domain with nothing in front of it: example.com rather than www.example.com. Not every DNS provider can point one at another service, so Upfling's domain setup suggests www, or shows you how to keep the apex where your provider supports it.
See also www, Redirect, CNAME record
A secret that lets a script or tool publish and manage your sites without you signing in. Upfling keys start with upf_.
See also MCP (Model Context Protocol)
A content delivery network: servers in many cities that keep copies of your files, so each visitor loads them from somewhere nearby. Upfling serves sites from Cloudflare's network.
See also Web hosting
Upfling added to Claude as a connector, so Claude can put what it builds online when you ask.

A DNS record that points one name at another name. It's how you connect a custom domain to Upfling.
See also DNS, Custom domain
An automatic check for phishing and malware. It runs when a site goes live, whenever its files change, and again every 7 days.
See also Suspended site
The code that controls how a page looks: colors, fonts, spacing and layout.
See also HTML
A domain you own, such as yourname.com, connected to your Upfling site so visitors see your own address. Available on Lite and above.

The internet's address book. DNS records tell browsers which server answers for a domain.
See also CNAME record, DNS propagation
The wait after you change a DNS record before the change is seen everywhere. Usually minutes, occasionally up to 48 hours.
See also DNS
The address people type to reach a website, like example.com. You rent it by the year from a domain registrar.
See also Domain registrar, Custom domain
The company you bought your domain from. It's usually also where you edit the domain's DNS records.
See also DNS
The check Upfling runs to confirm your DNS records point at us before it serves your site on that domain.

14 days of Pro to try before you pay. A card is needed to start it, and it becomes a monthly Pro plan unless you cancel. One per account.
See also Grace period
The 30 days after a paid plan ends during which your sites stay as they are. After that, sites above the Free plan's limit are suspended and custom domains are paused. Your files are kept. A free trial that ends without payment has no grace period.

The page visitors see when they open your site's address. Upfling uses your index.html. Without one, a lone HTML file becomes the homepage, or you pick one. You can change it later in the file manager.
The language web pages are written in. Your browser reads an HTML file and turns it into the page you see.
See also CSS, JavaScript
Code that runs in the visitor's browser to make a page interactive. It works on a static site because it runs in the browser, not on a server.
See also Static website
An open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools. Upfling's MCP server lets an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT publish a site for you.

See also Custom domain
A website made of files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images) that are sent to every visitor exactly as you uploaded them. No server code runs and no database is involved.

See also Archived site

See also Content scan, Grace period
Where deleted sites wait for 14 days before they're removed for good. You can restore them until then.
See also Archived site
An optional step that asks visitors for their email address before your site opens. You see the addresses in your dashboard and can export them as a CSV file. Available on Pro and above.
See also Password protection
Keeping a website's files on a server that is always online, so anyone with the address can open them.
See also Static website, CDN
The most common subdomain. Connecting www.example.com to your site works with every DNS provider, and the bare domain can redirect to it.
