Free static hosting

Free static site hosting for the folder on your desktop.

You built something with ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity, and now it sits in a folder called my-site. Drop that folder here and copy a live HTTPS link about 20 seconds later. No Git, no build step, no deploy pipeline.

The whole product

A folder goes in. A link comes out.

The upload flow, recorded: a folder is dropped on the card, the files are checked, a subdomain is picked, the site launches and opens at its URL.
How it works

How to host a static website for free, in nine steps.

  1. 1
Find the folder your AI builder gave you. It holds index.html, maybe with an assets, images or css folder next to it.
  2. 2
Leave the file names alone. Upfling uses index.html as the home page, and if there isn't one and you have several pages, it asks which one.
  3. 3
Open index.html in your browser first, or paste the code into the HTML tester. If it looks wrong on your desktop, it will look wrong online.
  4. 4
Keep the paths relative. assets/style.css works everywhere. /Users/you/Desktop/style.css only works on your laptop.
  5. 5
Upload the folder as it is, or zip it first if you're on a phone or a locked-down work machine. A ZIP that wraps everything in one folder is fine.
  6. 6
Drag the folder or ZIP onto the upload box. That's the whole upload screen.
  7. 7
Sign in to keep the site. It's free and asks for no card.
  8. 8
Copy the HTTPS link. Send it to a client, paste it in a chat, put it in your bio. It opens on any phone.
  9. 9
Changed something? Upload the new files to the same site. The link stays the same.
Good to know
What counts as a static site
A static site is files a browser already knows how to show: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts. The server hands them over and runs nothing, so there's no PHP, no WordPress and no database. Files like .jsx and .tsx need a build step first, and that runs on your machine, not ours. If Claude gave you a single React component, the Artifact Converter turns it into a hostable HTML page. New to this? Read what a static website is. Built it with an AI tool? Hosting a website from ChatGPT or Claude covers the builders one by one.
What lands well
index.html with inline CSS
A folder of HTML pages

A Next.js project, unbuilt
Why Upfling for this

Everything you need, nothing you don't.

A folder in, a link out.
Upload a folder or a ZIP and get a live HTTPS link. There's no queue and no build to wait for.
No Git, no terminal.
No repository, no commit, no YAML, no deploy pipeline. You drag a folder out of your file manager.
Made for what AI builders hand you.
One index.html from ChatGPT, or a folder of pages from Claude, Bolt or Lovable. It goes up as it is.
No commission.
If your page sells something, takes bookings or sends people to a checkout, the money is yours. We take no cut.
Your files are not training data.
We don't use them to train models, sell them or publish them anywhere but your site. The only thing that reads them is the safety scan, which looks for phishing and malware.

Their figures are from their own pricing pages, checked on October 5, 2026: tiiny.host pricing, static.app pricing.

tiiny.host's free plan caps each upload at 3 MB, which is tight once a site carries real images. static.app has no free plan, only a 7-day trial, so a site you publish on Monday needs a paid plan within the week.

static.app has built-in forms and we don't. If your site needs them, it's a fair choice. If you want a free site that stays up, check how long each free option lasts before you start.

Questions

The money questions, answered.

Yes. 2 sites, 25 MB of storage and a live HTTPS link, with no card and no time limit. Nothing turns into a paid plan on its own. The catch is a small Upfling badge on each free site.

Examples

Already in the wild.

HTML
launch-demo
A one-page launch site from ChatGPT, a single index.html with inline CSS.
HTML
recipe-book
A multi-page site from Claude: every page in one folder, sharing one assets folder.
HTML
client-preview
A client prototype, sent as a link instead of a ZIP attachment.

The free plan takes no card and has no trial timer. Nothing converts to paid on its own.
